About the position

Responsibilities
Central Child and Student Health is part of the Education Administration's Resource Centre and brings together several professions within student health. The operation is led by a operations manager together with unit managers. We are now looking for a counselor who wants to contribute to health-promoting and preventive work and make a difference for the well-being of children and young people in primary school.
The counselor's task in the school is to develop and implement measures that strengthen students' well-being, together with the principal and other student health staff. As a counselor, you are centrally employed but based at one or several school units.
In this role, you will among other things work with health-promoting and preventive psychosocial work in the school to contribute to the student achieving knowledge goals and increased well-being, support conversations with students and multi-party meetings in networks regarding the student, as well as supervision and consultation to staff on psychosocial issues. Furthermore, you contribute to the school's values-based and equal treatment work, increased attendance, crisis management, work against drugs, discrimination, and bullying.
As a counselor, you work with students both individually and in groups. You handle relational issues regarding how adults in the school can meet and reach students so that they feel seen and included. The duties also include competence development within the school social area for staff. In the role, you also conduct school social mapping/investigation of individual students and social assessment prior to admission to adapted school.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a degree in social work. Preferably, you have worked with children and young people and have a particular interest in working with issues concerning children and young people in a pedagogical environment. It is meritorious to have worked with groups, supervision, and/or competence development. Experience of conducting various forms of social mapping and investigations is also meritorious.
You are good at collaborating and creating open and trusting relationships with everyone - regardless of background and conditions. You are flexible, self-assured, proactive, and able to independently plan and prioritize your work. It is important that you enjoy working in a team and have good collaboration skills.
A driver's license and access to a car are required.
