ABOUT THE JOB

We are now looking for assistant nurses for Ventilen for both permanent and fixed-term positions.

Ventilen is a special housing facility for elderly people with various dementia diseases. We are responsible for 24 apartments and currently have 27 residents (as we are a facility that allows couples to live together). At Ventilen, we have both assistant nurses and care assistants. The most important tools we have are our attitude and our smiles, so that our residents feel seen and validated. For us, it is important that you enjoy your job and that everyone is involved in the daily work together. We were named Team of the Year 2025 and are the first in Västerbotten to be a certified Antibiotic Smart unit, which we are very proud of!

Our work is to make a difference for those who live with us, so that their quality of life is as good as possible. Being able to make a difference makes the job very enjoyable. In our job, we must be flexible, as no two days are alike. We support and advise each other, so we can go home satisfied after our day together.

The duties include having care contact responsibility for one or more residents. This means you are responsible for ensuring the implementation plan is updated and followed, and that you have contact with relatives. Your duties also include daily documentation in Lifecare (our medical record system). The job also involves conducting risk assessments in Senior Alert around our residents.

Working hours during the day are scheduled according to a roster with day, evening, and weekend shifts. Since not all working hours may be filled at Ventilen, some time may be allocated to other workplaces within the Support, Care, and Social Care business area.

YOUR PROFILE

We believe in the right competence in the right place.

We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse; further education in dementia care, such as a dementia-specialized assistant nurse, is meritorious. We would like you to have experience from elderly care and dementia care. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language (spoken and written), as documentation and reading journals are part of the daily work. We would like you to have been delegated medication duties in previous employment.

You have a good attitude and good cooperation skills and want to contribute to the good atmosphere at the workplace. You also have an empathetic ability and are sensitive to individual needs. It is also important that you are positive and can see new opportunities, and can be flexible, as no two days are alike.
