Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a vocational teacher with a focus on transport. You will teach adult students studying the vocational driver education for trucks/distribution at Komvux. The teaching includes both theoretical lessons in the classroom and practical sessions in the truck, where students practice driving trucks and trailers, as well as other profession-relevant tasks.

As a vocational teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the teaching. You also have contact with students during their workplace-based learning (APL), and visits to workplaces before and during APL are a natural part of your daily routine. You belong to an engaged team consisting of seven other teachers and one coordinator, where teamwork is central to our success.

We also offer vocational education combined with SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) and Swedish as a second language. This means you need to have a genuine interest and drive to teach students who are at different stages of their language development.

Qualifications

Vocational teacher education with a issued teaching license and qualification to teach in the subjects included in the vocational driver education for trucks and distribution (requirement for permanent employment). The position is a permanent employment, but a fixed-term employment may also be relevant if you are not licensed.

You have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and their different prerequisites. You adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient and encourage dialogue, involvement, and engagement.
