Your Role

As Head of Asset Management, you have overall responsibility for our long-term investment portfolio and asset management of our production and distribution facilities within district heating, district cooling, biogas, electricity production, and compressed air. You will play a central role in shaping and implementing strategies that effectively manage and maximize the value of our assets.

You have responsibility for results and personnel and lead a unit of specialists responsible for both operational and strategic issues related to lifecycle management, investment planning, and risk management. Here, you are expected to be an accessible support where you engage and develop the employees within the unit. Furthermore, you are part of the department's management group and the business area's business leadership. The role also involves close collaboration with various parts of the operations, both within the Business and System Development department and with other departments such as operations, projects, and finance.

Göteborg Energi is currently in a very exciting phase where we are carrying out and planning major investments in our energy production, moving away from fossil dependence and into the future and the sustainable energy system. You will become an important part of this transition work as your employees are responsible for large facility values and initiate and establish the long-term management of our assets. Your task here is to, together with your employees, continue to develop methods for strategic asset management in line with ISO 55000 (Asset Management), contribute to the transition of our energy systems, and continuously ensure that our facilities maintain a reliable delivery capacity.

In practice, this involves continuing to develop methods and approaches for how we assess the status and risk of our facilities to make the right assessments and initiate necessary investments in our existing facilities at the right time based on risk, availability, operational benefit, and economic return.

Your Qualifications

To thrive and succeed in this role, we are looking for you who have:

• A relevant university or civil engineering degree, or equivalent experience.
• Several years of experience from the energy sector or a related infrastructure sector.
• Good knowledge of Asset Management, investment planning, or technical management.
• Ability to develop and implement effective investment strategies, in addition to having a deep understanding of market trends and risk management.
• Strong communication skills, where you can inspire and engage your team to reach their full potential.
• Experience working with various actors in the industry and building long-term relationships.
• It is meritorious if you have experience of leadership and strategic planning.
