Your new job

We are looking for a new colleague for the lower secondary school (grades 4–6) at Råslättsskolan. As a teacher at the lower secondary level with us, you work in a team together with your colleagues. You share a joint responsibility for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in the grade level against national goals. Together, you map and analyze students' knowledge to develop teaching in the best possible way based on the students' needs. As part of the team, you will also serve as a homeroom teacher and mentor for a group of students.

In your role as a teacher at the lower secondary level, you build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and contribute to a pleasant working environment at the school that promotes learning and development throughout the students' entire school day.

Welcome to us

Råslättsskolan is one of the municipality's larger F–6 schools (preschool to grade 6), located in the Råslätt district in the southern parts of Jönköping. The surrounding area offers great opportunities for activities such as forests and nature, swimming pools, sports fields, ice rinks, activity arenas, and football pitches with artificial turf. The school is multicultural and currently has approximately 500 students and 85 employees. We have high qualifications and a good teacher-to-student ratio, and together we work to create a workplace where everyone thrives and develops. Here, you will work alongside engaged and competent colleagues who focus on the students' learning and development. The work at the school is led by a principal and two deputy principals.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained teacher with a teaching license for grades 4–6 in the subjects of Swedish/Swedish as a second language, English, Social Studies (SO), and Mathematics. You are also welcome to apply if you have not yet received your teaching license and are at the end of your education. You have a good ability to build relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are flexible and see the whole operation and its development needs. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, have basic IT skills, and are accustomed to documenting and analyzing your work. We consider experience working with multilingual students and competence in Swedish as a second language to be meritorious. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Before employing new staff for our teaching positions, we must ensure that there is a valid teaching license. We therefore ask you to attach a current teaching license retrieved from the Swedish National Agency for Education within the last two months.
