We are looking for a welding teacher at Fenix Gymnasium in Vaggeryd
Fenix Gymnasium is a small school with close proximity between teachers and students. We have approximately 330 upper secondary students and roughly the same number of students in adult education. We offer 10 different upper secondary programs, including the Economics program, which is one of our university-preparatory programs.
Proximity is highly valued by our students—closeness to the administration, teachers, and fellow students. At our school, we work in longer lesson blocks, allowing students to deepen their understanding of the subject before concluding a module, a practice that is greatly appreciated. We place the student's learning at the center and actively work to develop our teaching methods.
The school is centrally located by Hjortsjön in Vaggeryd. It is close to train and bus stations. Bus 500 frequently runs from Jönköping or Värnamo and stops very close to the school.

RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for someone who wants to work in a team alongside other programs. The position involves teaching at the upper secondary level, primarily for the Industrial Technology program. The upper secondary school collaborates closely with adult education, so a portion of the role may be directed towards adult education in the future. The position also includes mentoring students on the Industrial Technology program.
For the past five years, we have worked with ÄDK (Subject Didactic Collegium), meaning we continuously develop our teaching together with subject colleagues. We discuss, test, and evaluate to constantly increase student goal achievement.
Values-based work is also something we place great emphasis on: building relationships with students and contributing to educating them into good citizens.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are trained as a welder and preferably a licensed teacher with the eligibility to teach courses offered on the Industrial Technology program.
We assume that you have student learning in focus and a desire to contribute to increased goal achievement. You are a confident leader in the classroom and actively work with students' knowledge acquisition at both individual and group levels.
You find it easy to collaborate and build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Furthermore, you are driven, engaged, and want to be part of developing the operations.
