Personal assistance is a service under the LSS Act (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Functional Impairments). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to people who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Every client is unique, and your tasks will vary depending on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy, and contribute to making daily life run smoothly.

About the role

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are looking for someone who is calm, secure, stable, and understands that as a personal assistant, you are somewhat in the background, acting as a helping hand during various tasks. It is also important that you are sensitive and adaptable.

We are currently looking for you who meet the following criteria:

• Willing to work for a woman in her 60s residing in Linneryd
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Are comfortable accompanying the client to church
• Are a non-smoker
• Tolerate pets as there is a cat in the home
• Willing to work weekends

The following qualifications are considered meritorious:

• Experience in similar work
• Valid B-class driver's license
• Experience with MS (Multiple Sclerosis)

Personal suitability will be given great weight.

Working hours, extent of employment, and salary

The position is an open-ended employment ("as long as the assignment lasts") at 30 %, with weekend work only every other weekend according to the schedule below.

Even weeks, every other weekend:

Week 2 – Sat 08.00–14.00 and Sun 08.00–23.00

Week 4 – Fri 14.00–23.00, Sat 23.00–08.00, and Sun 23.00–08.00

It would be desirable if, in addition to the weekend role, you could work as a summer substitute at approx. 80 %.

All time is active time, including nights.

Fixed hourly wage by agreement, and other compensations are paid according to the collective agreement.

Immediately or by agreement.

Employment at Humana

A prerequisite for starting an employment with us at Humana is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID document and any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
