Skogsängsskolan is a modern and multicultural municipal primary and lower secondary school (grades F-9) in Salem with just over 500 students. Our guiding words – safety, community, and learning – permeate the entire operation. We have a common view of students with high expectations for both learning and interaction, and we are convinced that all students can develop significantly with the right support and clear teaching. We work with IBIS (Inclusive Behavioral Support in Schools), a research-based development project that strengthens leadership in the classroom, creates clear expectations, and a positive school climate. With our outdoor profile, students get a classroom without walls, with experiences such as paddling, cooking in outdoor kitchens, hiking, and overnight stays in forest and archipelago environments.

Workplace Description

CSU is a central special teaching group within Salem Municipality, organizationally belonging to Skogsängsskolan. The operation is aimed at students in grades 1-9 within the autism spectrum.

Job Description

We are now looking for a positive and engaged primary school teacher for our central special teaching group in Salem. The position involves teaching students in grades 1-3, where the group consists of approximately 4 students. You need to work with clear pedagogy, low-affective interaction, differentiated teaching, and visual support.

You will work together with colleagues in the central special teaching groups, which requires you to be flexible and solution-oriented.

The assignment also includes responsibility for documenting students' knowledge development as well as contact with guardians, student health teams (EHT), and colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained teacher with experience working with students in need of extensive special support. You have experience working with students with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF) and create safe and inclusive learning environments.

We are looking for you who are willing to invest wholeheartedly in the students and who are flexible and responsive in meeting both students and guardians. You work solution-focused and have the ability to build trusting relationships with both students and their guardians.
