Your assignment
As a Social Secretary in Helsingborg Municipality, you work with authority operations and legally secure case processing. You investigate, assess needs, plan, and make and follow up on decisions according to the Social Services Act and other relevant legislation. An important part of the work is documentation and collaboration, both with colleagues within your own administration, but also with other authorities and organizations. The role includes:
- investigation and needs assessment of individuals and families
- decisions on interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU)
- documentation, follow-up, and ongoing case processing
- conversations, motivational work, and counseling
- preventive work
- contribute to method and development work
Investigation and follow-up: Children and Young People
Here, the situation of children and young people is investigated in close collaboration with the children, guardians, and networks. Cases can be complex and sometimes urgent. We want you to have a secure and good work environment; therefore, in relevant cases, there are two case workers handling the cases. Here, you also collaborate closely with, for example, schools, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP), and the police.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Degree in Social Work (Social Work degree)
- Category B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles and driving experience
Meritorious
- At least two years of experience in authority operations within Children and Young People
- BBIC basic training
- Experience working with the Signs of Safety model
- Knowledge in MI (Motivational Interviewing)

Employment
The positions are within the Social Services Administration in Helsingborg Municipality. Shift work may occur within certain areas, and evening duty is included as needed.
