I am a 23-year-old guy who likes to come up with fun things and live an active life, but I need support in my daily life. I currently live with my family in Åkarp but plan to move to my own apartment in Lund this autumn. I am active and enjoy swimming, cycling, walking, taking buses and trains, and going on excursions. I also like baking, crafting, and photography – pictures are an important part of my communication. In my daily life, I will soon start at a new day activity center in Lund.

As a personal assistant, you support me with personal care and daily chores, where I am involved as much as I can. You help me with structure, communication, and enable activities both at home and outside the home.

I am hearing impaired and visually impaired, classified as deafblind, but I use my remaining sight well. I communicate using sign language, TAKK (Total Communication), and pictures. Experience is a bonus, but most importantly, you are sensitive, engaged, and willing to get to know me.

I have 24-hour assistance with some awake nights and some on-call duty. There is double assistance during all awake hours, except at the day activity center where you are my medical assistant and support me with tasks and communication with others.

You will start as an hourly employee with the possibility of a monthly contract for approximately 85 percent. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, nights, and weekends. I am primarily looking for someone who can work evenings and nights, but also some daytime shifts. Flexibility and the ability to step in during illness are a big plus.

Desired start is immediately or as agreed.

Your workplace is wherever I am – in Åkarp, at the day activity center, in my apartment in Lund, or at activities. Commuting to the apartment is easy, both from Malmö and within Lund.

Education or experience working with children, adults, or people with multiple disabilities is a bonus, but personal suitability and interaction weigh the heaviest.
