About the position

Personal assistance is a service under the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Certain Functionally Disabled People). In your role as a personal assistant, you will mainly help the client with whatever arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the client's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.

Our client is a social and talkative woman in her 30s who lives in the countryside just outside Hallsberg. She has a spinal cord injury and therefore needs some help and support in her daily life with tasks she cannot perform on her own. As her assistant, you will help and support her with, among other things, transferring to and from her power wheelchair, some personal hygiene, and certain activities in and outside the home. In her spare time, she enjoys watching speedway and attending car meets.

Who are you?

The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for you who are sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you and the client.

Requirements for the position:

• Previous experience in personal assistance or another healthcare profession
• Good knowledge of Swedish
• Valid Category B driver's license and access to your own car to commute to work
• Tolerance for pets (there is a dog in the home)

Merits for the position:

• Shared interest in speedway and car meets with the client

Personal suitability will be given great weight.

Working hours, degree of employment, and salary

The current form of employment is "hourly employment," which means working on an as-needed basis with varying hours during the day and evening. Shifts are usually approx. 2-3 hours, but longer shifts do occur.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other benefits according to collective agreement.

Start date: Immediately or according to agreement.
