Open Care and Outreach

Description

Do you want to help build a structured, sustainable, and legally secure integration work from the ground up? Are you driven by creating order, clarity, and long-term solutions in complex contexts? Then you could be our new Integration Coordinator.

The position is a project employment during the period 2026-09-01 – 2027-08-31 and is placed under the Unit Manager for the Prevention Unit.

Perstorp Municipality is currently facing clear challenges in the work with receiving and establishing newly arrived refugees and unaccompanied children. The work is currently largely conducted without a cohesive structure, with unclear distribution of responsibilities and limited coordination between operations. There is a lack of a common current status picture and a systematic approach, which affects the ability to work long-term, legally secure, and efficiently.

This position is therefore a key function with the assignment to create structure, map the current situation and needs, and lay the foundation for a cohesive and sustainable integration work during a defined period. The focus is not on driving individual measures, but on building up methods, coordination, and organization for the future.

Responsibilities

As an Integration Coordinator, you have an overarching and development-oriented assignment at the municipal level. You are responsible for creating structure, clarity, and coordination in the work with receiving and establishing.

You will among other things:

  • Conduct an overarching mapping of the current situation, needs, and existing methods
  • Analyze the organization, distribution of responsibilities, and processes related to receiving and establishing
  • Initiate, coordinate, and follow up on integration work within the municipality
  • Develop routines, checklists, information material, and common working methods
  • Identify development areas and propose measures
  • Build up and strengthen internal collaboration between the municipality's operations
  • Collaborate with external actors such as authorities, other municipalities, and civil society
  • Monitor the external environment and contribute to the municipality's ability to meet changes in legislation and regulations
  • Produce and analyze statistics and contribute to knowledge dissemination within the organization

You function as a cohesive link between operations and create conditions for a more coordinated, knowledge-based, and long-term work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • Relevant university education of at least 180 credits, for example within social sciences, social work, or other education that the employer deems equivalent
  • Documented experience of working with integration, migration, or establishment issues
  • Documented experience of working in public operations and good understanding of municipal operations
  • Knowledge of legislation and regulations within the area
  • Documented experience of coordination, collaboration, and development work
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing

Merits:

  • Documented experience of change management and organizational development
  • Documented experience of analysis, follow-up, and statistics
  • Documented experience of working with refugee reception
  • Knowledge of human rights

We want you to be:

  • Structured and have the ability to create order in complex contexts
  • Independent and driven with the ability to take initiative and lead processes forward
  • Analytical and have a good ability to see the whole picture and identify needs
  • Strategic and long-term in your working method
  • Relationship-building and collaboration-oriented
  • Communicative and clear in both speech and writing
  • Flexible and solution-focused

We offer:

  • A development assignment where you get the opportunity to make a real difference at a structural level
  • Opportunity to build up and shape the municipality's future integration work
  • Collaboration with engaged colleagues and several different operations
  • An organization that sees the need for change and wants to move forward
  • Benefits according to collective agreement

Conditions

The position is a project employment during the period 2026-09-01 – 2027-08-31.

The appointment to the position presupposes that the administration is granted the state funds applied for.

In connection with the recruitment, we have taken a stand on recruitment channels and publication channels, which is why we kindly decline all contact with sellers in this matter.
