Montessori Preschool Asplyckan is looking for a Childcare Worker/Montessori Educator at 80% to join our cozy preschool!

Asplyckan is one of Alingsås' oldest independent Montessori preschools, centrally located near train and bus connections.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a smaller preschool consisting of two departments. One department for the youngest children (ages 1–3) with space for 12 children, and one department for older children (ages 3–5/6) with space for up to 23 children. We also have our own kitchen!

Montessori Preschool Asplyckan is a non-profit association, with the main body consisting of a guardians' board. The principal is part of the board and also partially part of the work team.

As a Childcare Worker/Montessori Educator, you play an important role in the work team, working together with colleagues based on the Swedish National Agency for Education's Curriculum for the Preschool, Lpfö 18/25, as the guiding document, and Montessori pedagogy as an approach and part of the children's daily education and teaching.

We are looking for you if you have a certified Childcare Worker diploma or a Montessori Educator diploma. It is an advantage if you also have Montessori educator training and/or experience working within a Montessori environment. Professional experience is required.

As a Childcare Worker, we place great emphasis on personal suitability, such as good pedagogical and professional interaction with both the children, guardians, and colleagues.

You should have strong communication skills and experience conducting developmental meetings. You should be familiar with systematic quality work in preschools and be able to work both in a team and independently, with flexibility being a natural part of the daily work. We are looking for a Childcare Worker/Montessori Educator who sees what needs to be done, takes responsibility for getting it done, and works with care and attention to detail.

In your work with us, you will plan and lead group meetings, create thematic work together with colleagues, and maintain close, ongoing contact with guardians regarding their children.

The position is a probationary employment starting from week 32, August 3, 2026, at 80%, with a 6-month probationary period, which can then transition into a permanent position. There is an opportunity to work as a substitute beyond these 80%.

Working hours currently vary between 06:10–17:00, depending on the needs of the guardians.
