You are securely rooted in your ordination ministry and find joy in good preaching and a vibrant worship life. You have an open and inclusive view of humanity, as there are many people here to appreciate.

Together with the parish, you are passionate about developing parish life and creating conditions for both new and long-standing members to grow in their roles or find a new one. You are versatile and enjoy working with different age groups, teams, and directions, all with the same starting point: to friendly build upon an already open and lively parish.

Music brings us together and is always close at hand. You enjoy working in various teams, but also independently. In church ceremonies, you meet people with varying levels of church experience with warmth and seriousness.

The church is always bustling with people; it is located in the center of Kullavik, close to everything. We enjoy collaborating with local actors on various events where you, as the priest, are often the public face.

In the work team, led by our deacon, you are one of approximately ten employees. In the three parishes of the pastorate, there are a total of four deacons and six priests, including the vicar. Good administrative support is available, along with a solid economy and a large number of parish members.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.

About Särö Pastorate and Kullavik Parish

Our shared vision in the pastorate is "that everyone should find their way to Jesus and have the opportunity to share that discovery with others."

Our three parishes, Vallda, Släp, and Kullavik, each have their own parish church and work team with similar yet distinct characteristics and functions. We coordinate and plan some activities together, while keeping others separate to maintain local character.

Kullavik Church, with all its facilities under one roof, serves as a natural meeting place in Kullavik for people of all ages. The premises are warm and inviting, with a daily open café in the center, always close to the church room as a clear signal of our focus. We have a well-functioning collaboration with schools and leisure centers and strive to ensure that what we do feels relevant to the times. There are plenty of confirmands, children, and parents here. The elderly also have their place. Music, joy, and meeting are fundamental pillars in our work, and in Sunday worship, we want to provide space for participation in a rich variety of expressions and impressions.

The parish is a scenic place between forest and sea, where residential areas are located close to the church, nestled among rocks and cultivated meadows. Here, on the border of Gothenburg municipality, many live and thrive, often returning after studies and when starting families.
