Job Description We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with 6-9 years of experience to join Vattenfall's IT department Asset Analytics Distribution.

Duties include:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure and Databricks. Ingest, transform, and model data from diverse sources to enable reliable analytics and reporting. Develop semantic models and create Power BI reports to support data-driven decision making. Perform data quality checks, ensuring data integrity and security. Document and communicate data engineering processes and outcomes. Support data awareness and training initiatives within the organization. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.

Required skills and education

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Databricks, SQL, Python, and (including CI/CD)
• Experience with data ingestion, transformation, and semantic modeling
• Hands-on experience and confidence working with large data volumes is a plus (tables holding trillions of rows)
• Knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL concepts
• Familiarity with Power BI
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Azure Storage Explorer
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computational Engineering Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
