The Salvation Army is looking for part-time substitutes for Sagahemmet in Uppsala

Sagahemmet is operated by The Salvation Army on behalf of the Municipality of Uppsala. The mission of Sagahemmet is ”Supportive housing for homeless people with substance abuse issues”. We are not a treatment center, but a supportive housing facility focused on ADL (Activities of Daily Living).

Job Responsibilities

As a housing support worker, you provide practical and psychosocial support to our residents. You meet people in vulnerable situations and contribute to creating safety, structure, and motivation in their daily lives.

Qualifications

To fit this role, you need to have a genuine commitment to people. We are looking for someone who:

• Has solid knowledge and experience working with substance abuse.
• Is courageous in meetings with people who are struggling.
• Can be firm and objective.
• Can make difficult decisions in consultation with other staff.
• Is flexible.
• Is pleasant and sociable (a plus).

A prerequisite for a successful collaboration is that you share The Salvation Army’s values.

Employment Terms

• Salary: Hourly wage.
• Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
• Working hours: 24/7 housing. Shifts as needed.
