About Robinson Valsjön

Robinson Valsjön is a growing F–6 school located in the beautiful nature of Åkersberga. The school opened in autumn 2022 with preschool class and grade 1, and is growing organically with a new grade each year. By autumn 2026, we will have students in grades F–5, with a total of approximately 110 students. The school building is new and nestled in the area around Lake Valsjön—a place that inspires both learning and well-being.

At Robinson, we work with experiential and subject-integrated learning. We believe that long-term learning is built on students experiencing, exploring, and participating. For our younger students, nature is a natural place for teaching, while older students get to discover society and its functions.

Do you want to work in a school where participation, collaboration, and creativity are a natural part of everyday life? Then you might be our new colleague!

About the Role

We are now looking for a special needs teacher for grades F–5 and simultaneously need to expand our teaching capacity in the intermediate grades, preferably in Swedish and Social Studies. The positions can advantageously be combined into one role, but can also be applied for separately.

As a Special Needs Teacher (Grades F–5, approx. 40%)

You will become an important part of our work in creating accessible learning environments and good conditions for all students. You will be part of a team consisting of a special educator, principal, counselor, and teachers, where you together create strong support around the students. Your role is central in preventive and promoting work, as well as in concrete support measures at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

The role includes among other things:

  • Mapping and analyzing needs in preschool class and early school years.
  • Conducting screenings in grades 1–5 and supporting national tests in grade 3.
  • Planning and implementing support measures, both individually and in groups for grades F–5.
  • Supporting and supervising colleagues in the work with adaptations and accessible teaching.
  • Participating in student health team meetings and collaborating with the school's various professions.
  • Contributing to investigations for special support and evaluation of action plans.

As a Teacher (Grades 4–5, approx. 40%)

We are looking for you who want to teach in the intermediate grades, preferably in Swedish and Social Studies, but other subjects are also interesting. You plan and conduct teaching in close collaboration with the work team and contribute to our experiential and subject-integrated approach. Here, you get the opportunity to help shape teaching in a growing school.

We are looking for you who

Have a holistic perspective on student development and a good ability to see each child's unique prerequisites. With an inclusive attitude, clear structure, and a solution-focused approach, you contribute to a secure and developmental learning environment.

You are responsible, have an easy time collaborating, and are receptive in meetings with both students and colleagues. You are used to planning, prioritizing, and driving the work forward – always with the student's best interest in focus and with a strong desire to make a difference together with others.

Qualifications:

  • Qualification as a special needs teacher and/or teacher for grades 4–6.
  • Subject qualification in subjects for intermediate grades, preferably Swedish-Social Studies.
  • Experience working closely with both work teams and student health teams.
  • Experience with language, reading, and writing development as well as work with NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) adaptations.
