About the job

• Sick leave substitute position at 65% with the possibility of permanent employment.
• Employment type: Hourly substitute (when regular assistants are unable to work).
• Hours: The schedule offers long shifts, 08:00–23:30 (Fridays and Saturdays 08:00–24:00).
• Introduction: Before your first shift, you will shadow one of my regular assistants approximately 4–5 times to get accustomed to the work.

About me

I am a woman, 55+, living with my partner in the small community of Norra Unnaryd, approximately 4 miles outside Jönköping. Due to my disability, I need your physical help in various situations, but I manage my own personal assistance. I use a wheelchair due to a muscle disease and need help with, among other things, personal care, cooking, and household chores.

A day with me can range from a quiet day at home with various tasks, both indoors and outdoors, to an active outing – perhaps shopping at Gekås in Ullared. I enjoy baking, cooking, dining out, watching ice hockey, and spending time with family and friends.

To ensure we get along well, I believe you are:

• A woman with personal maturity.
• Reliable, meticulous, and perceptive.
• Someone who enjoys working with people and can read and adapt to my needs.

Important to know:

• You must be a non-smoker and comfortable around animals with fur.
• You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• You need a driver’s license and access to your own car to commute to and from work. (During work hours, you will drive my wheelchair-adapted car).
• Assistive devices are available in the home.
• Good physical fitness is required as we often take long walks.

Due to the nature of the work, I am only seeking female assistants.
