Special Needs Educator for Junkaremålens Middle School

We are looking for an engaged and driven special needs educator who wants to help create an inclusive and developmental learning environment for our middle school students. In this role, you will have a key position where you work closely with both students and colleagues to ensure that every student is given the best possible conditions for success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a special needs educator, you will work to support students in achieving their goals and ensure that students in need of special support are identified and receive the appropriate form of assistance. You will be responsible for administering assessments, action plans, and technical aids. The role involves developing the learning environments at the school. Through consultations, observations, and supervision, you will support teachers in their work to create accessible and inclusive teaching.
You will have contact and collaborate with students, guardians, teachers, mentors, school leadership, EHT (Educational and Psychological Counselors), other school staff, and external partners as needed. Your work can take place at the individual, group, and school levels, depending on needs. Your role as a special needs educator will be central in supporting and developing student learning. You will work closely with both students and teachers to create an inclusive and supportive environment where all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and trained special needs educator with eligibility to teach grades 7–9. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can apply them in your daily work. We would appreciate it if you have experience with assessment and diagnosis using Logos.

- Relationship-building: You are communicative, collaborate well with others, and are good at building relationships with students, colleagues, and other units outside the school.
- Strategic: You act in accordance with decisions, policies, and guidelines, keeping the bigger picture and the best interests of the entire operation in mind. You have a positive attitude, see opportunities, and have a desire to develop the operation.
- Structured: You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively and set and adhere to timeframes.
- Creative: You often come up with ideas and new approaches to work-related issues. You have innovative thinking that can be put into practice and leads to results.

ABOUT THE WORKPLACE
The Junkaremålens grades 7–9 operation houses approximately 350 students and 50 staff members. Our operation offers opportunities for student coaches and student health services as support for students' development and learning. You work as a teaching teacher together with the principal and colleagues to provide students with the best possible education. Here you have the opportunity to work at a school with the students' best interests in focus.
