We are now looking for a residential support worker for our team at Nytida supported housing in Örebro. We offer a developing job where you make a difference!
We are looking for a temporary substitute due to needs for coverage during sickness and leave, with the possibility of a longer-term substitute contract this autumn. Here, you work 24-hour shifts with on-call sleeping duty.

About Nytida Supported Housing
Nytida Supported Housing receives young people with issues related to substance abuse, self-harm, criminality, various diagnoses, or who for other reasons cannot live at home and are placed by social services. The young people are between 16-20 years old and need guidance, mentoring, support, and encouragement to move forward in life. The young people live in their own apartments, and in the same building, there is an apartment where staff are based.
About the Role
In the role of residential support worker, you base your work on the residents' individual needs and wishes and provide support in daily life from a pedagogical approach. As a residential support worker, you support young people living in their own apartments. This means everything from laundry, cleaning, cooking together with the young person, etc. All to help the young person move forward into adult life. We are there to guide, mentor, and support the young person towards a more independent life as they take the step into adulthood. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities. Your duties include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. We collaborate closely with outpatient care, which supports the young people in everything outside the home.
Your Experience and Knowledge – Educational Requirements
- Treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, or other equivalent education.
- Experience working with young people.
- Driver's license is a requirement.
- Good Swedish in speech and writing; knowledge of other languages is a merit.
- Extract from the police record is required before employment.
We are looking for you who have experience in similar work with young people. As a person, you are independent, unpretentious, cooperative, and have an easy time connecting with other people. It is important that you are secure, stable, and have good interpersonal skills. We also place great emphasis on the treatment of young people, colleagues, and fellow human beings. You must be able to work evenings and nights as the shifts are 24-hour shifts; we have sleeping on-call duty.
You see opportunities, have a positive outlook, and a strong commitment to people. The work requires that you are responsible and have personal maturity. You share your knowledge and experiences with your colleagues and consider it natural to contribute to a positive work climate. You have good computer skills and experience with documentation.
