About Unika Storvreta's Group Home

Unika Storvreta's group home is a pleasant LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) residence located in quiet Storvreta just outside Uppsala, with proximity to the train station and good transport connections. Here, six people within personal circle 1 live together, and we create a safe, meaningful, and developmental daily life with high quality and a big heart. About the Role of Support Assistant

As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually adapted support to people with functional impairments, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in daily life. You will support users in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, starting from each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-affective handling to create safety and predictability in the users' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the operation's resources and budget.

Qualifications

You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and able to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a listening manner, and you enjoy working together with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
  • Experience working in healthcare and social care.
  • Category B driver's license.
  • Upper secondary education such as Child and Youth Program, Care and Health Program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogy, social pedagogy, or higher education in a relevant field.

Meritorious if you additionally have:

  • Experience from psychiatry, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and low-affective handling.
  • Worked with complex support needs.
Terms of Employment

Employment Type: Fixed-term or hourly employment
Working Hours: Day/Evening/Night shift
Start Date: According to agreement, we view it positively if you can start soon.
Collective Agreement: We are bound by the collective agreement with Kommunal, Sector E.
