Special Education Teacher in Mathematics for Skillingeskolan in Munka-Ljungby

Skillingeskolan is a brand-new F-6 school with an associated after-school center located in Munka-Ljungby, Ängelholm Municipality. The school will open its doors for the autumn term of 2026 and will welcome approximately 600 students in grades F-6 and around 80 pedagogues.

Currently, staff and students are based at Toftaskolan, where we have strong cohesion. We are bringing clear development focuses, systematic structures for quality work, and an established framework for reading and writing instruction across all grades to our new school. Our view of the student is shaped by our key words: The Will, The Ability, and The Joy of reading, writing, and learning.

Skillingeskolan will be led through team leadership with two principals.

About the Role

We are now looking for a colleague to join our pedagogical staff who wants to help shape the school and develop mathematics education. The role involves development work related to mathematics instruction in close collaboration with school leadership, special needs colleagues, and teachers. You will also be responsible for mentoring teachers and providing targeted student support, both in groups and individually.

Your Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to develop mathematics education in collaboration with our fantastic students. You will become part of a collegium characterized by good cooperation and positive school development.

We have ongoing development work from an F-6 perspective regarding language-developing instruction. Together, we have developed a structured model for students' language, reading, and writing instruction (SLS). As a teacher at the school, you will participate in competence development regarding SLS and are expected to be an active part of our structured development work.

We expect you to contribute strongly to similar development work from an F-6 perspective regarding mathematics.

Skillingeskolan is a practice school in close collaboration with Halmstad University. A large majority of our teachers are VFU (Student Teaching) supervisors.
