We are now looking for a deacon for Gustav Adolf Parish due to a retirement. Are you a forward-thinking person who is passionate about developing diaconal work and has a prophetic voice? Then you might be the one we are looking for.

Qualifications

• We are looking for someone who is ordained as a deacon in the Church of Sweden.
• You have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others.
• You have a big heart for the church, meet people with care, and convey hope, regardless of life situation.
• You are comfortable in digital environments and see communication as an important prerequisite for good cooperation.

About the position:

• Collaboration with family centers and nursing homes in Gustav Adolf Parish.
• Counseling, in-depth conversations individually and in groups, work in and around devotions and worship services.
• We work with the network FBHO (The Future Lives With Us).
• We prioritize working with the parish's five focus areas as formulated in the parish instruction.
• Ability to participate in the parish structure when handling foundation applications.

We are environmentally certified and work for a sustainable operation.

Although the bus network and cycle paths in Helsingborg are well-developed, a driver's license is an advantage.

About us

The Helsingborg Parish consists of three parishes – Gustav Adolf, Raus, and Maria – that collaborate with each other. Gustav Adolf Parish extends from the city's coast with Oceanhamnen to the ring road Österleden, east of the city. The parish has approximately 53,000 inhabitants, of whom about 14,700 are church members. We exist in a multicultural environment, which provides diversity, not least in the worshipping congregation.

In Gustav Adolf Parish, we are a team of approximately 30 people, including five deacons and many volunteer workers. The parish has four churches with associated meeting rooms: Den Gode Herdens kyrka, Adolfsbergskyrkan, S:t Olofs kyrka, and Gustav Adolfs kyrka.
