We are now looking for a Controller for our Finance Department, who will work towards the Social Services administration. The Finance Department consists of ten engaged employees who together work with budgeting, monthly accounts, interim and annual accounts, reporting, financial follow-up, investigation assignments, customer and supplier ledgers, and more. We are also responsible for the municipal group's financial systems and serve as support to the municipality's operations in financial matters.

Responsibilities

As a Controller focusing on Social Services, you work closely with the Social Services administration and function as a qualified financial support for the operation's managers. The Social Services administration includes, among other things, elderly care, individual and family care, LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) operations, and health and medical care.

You are responsible for:

Budget work, forecasts, and accounts
Financial follow-up and analysis
Monthly reporting and statistics
Advising and supporting the operation's managers
Financial investigations and development work

You work independently but also in close collaboration with other economists/controllers and the management of the Social Services administration.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for someone who:

Has an academic degree in economics, preferably with a focus on accounting.
Thrives in a role that combines analysis with operation-close dialogue and has the ability to create trusting relationships.
Has good analytical skills.
Is communicative and can explain economic connections in a clear way, is confident in presenting and discussing economics with managers and groups.
Works independently but also has good collaboration skills.
Has good IT skills and good knowledge of Excel.

It is an advantage if you have experience of controller work within municipal operations and have worked in the financial system Unit4.
