About the role

Our client is a Swedish digital marketing agency with headquarters in Stockholm. They help companies grow through data-driven marketing, analytics, and technology solutions. In this role, you will become part of a tight-knit finance team that creates value and uses modern tools in a dynamic environment. The team consists of seven colleagues, and you will report to the Head of Finance.

Your main responsibility will be to handle accounting activities for several markets in Europe and the USA. This includes daily management of customer and supplier accounts, administration of expense reports, intercompany invoicing, VAT, tax returns, as well as monthly and annual financial statements. You will be responsible for four companies in four different countries.

This is a consultancy assignment through us at Academic Work. You are expected to cover a parental leave starting from July 27th for a period of 15 months.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for ongoing accounting, including monthly and annual financial statements, invoicing, and balance reconciliations, for several of our client's international companies.

• Send invoices
• Reconcile balance sheet and bank accounts
• Prepare monthly financial statements in the project system
• Participate in the annual closing
• Take responsibility for the accounting of local offices

We are looking for someone who

• Has completed post-secondary education in economics or similar.
• Has previous work experience in economics and accounting, including understanding of balance sheets, invoicing, closing, and Swedish accounting standards.
• Has strong IT skills within financial systems.
• Has very good knowledge of Microsoft, especially Excel.
• Has very good knowledge of English and Swedish, both spoken and written, as these languages are used in daily work.
