The position of personal assistant with our client offers varied tasks. The client is a 26-year-old woman living with her family in Ekeby, between Kumla and Örebro. She has a mild disability and severe, hard-to-treat epilepsy, which means she requires assistance around the clock.

Like many other young adults, her daily life includes a mix of everyday chores such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry, as well as activities that enhance quality of life. Our client has a strong interest in floorball, motocross, slalom skiing, golf, and travel. As an assistant, you will work where the client is located.

She works in a sheltered workshop three times a week, and assistants support and help her as needed. She has her own car, and it is the assistants who drive – so a driver's license for manual transmission is mandatory.

All assistants follow a rotating schedule, working every other weekend and shifts of 12 hours.

The Assistant's Role and Experience

We preferably seek female applicants as she feels most secure with women and needs support during certain intimate care tasks. The duties also include facilitating communication and ensuring structure, as the client sometimes struggles to maintain focus. If you have experience in similar work, we view it as a plus, but the greatest emphasis is placed on the personal chemistry between you and the client.

Desirable Qualifications

• Swedish language skills (spoken and written).
• B-driver's license.
• Experience in similar work.
• Experience with epilepsy.

Working Hours/Employment Degree

• Start date: February 1, 2026.
• The position is approximately full-time (97.5%).
• There is an opportunity to start employment immediately, as a fixed-term employment of at least 75% is available until the transition to the full-time position.
