ABOUT THE POSITION

At Kura Omsorg, we are currently looking for summer substitutes and hourly substitutes who want to work as personal assistants for our client living just outside Götene. As a summer substitute, you work when regular staff is on vacation. Shifts can occur on weekdays and weekends, and working hours are generally scheduled as follows:

• 07:00 - 15:00
• 15:00 - 20:00
• 09:00 - 16:00 on Saturdays

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a man in his 60s living with Parkinson's disease and uses a walker as an aid in daily life. As a personal assistant, you will provide support with transfers and help with medication. Your duties will also include:

• Support with daily routines such as household chores
• Assistance with personal hygiene and dressing/undressing

Furthermore, our client enjoys taking walks and going on outings. He wants to be active and involved in daily life, but does so based on his daily condition, meaning engagement may vary depending on how he is feeling at the time.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone who is calm and patient, with the ability to work methodically and structured. You need to be confident in your role and able to take initiative, both in conversations and activities, to create a meaningful and engaging daily life. You should be someone who enjoys taking responsibility and has a positive attitude, while being flexible and attuned to the client's needs and daily condition.

Our client lives in a rural area, which means public transport is not nearby. The nearest bus stop is approximately 3 kilometers away, making a driver's license and access to a car advantageous, but it is not a requirement for the position.

Scope: Summer substitute approx. 80% and hourly substitute

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.

To be employed by us at Kura Omsorg, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service. A prerequisite for starting employment with us is that you, as the applicant, can present a valid ID and submit a certificate of personal registration (personbevis) as well as any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the certificate of personal registration from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be 18 years old to work as a personal assistant.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record register. From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply which mean that the register check covers both extracts from the criminal record register and extracts from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so ordering should be done well in advance.
