Sveriges Ridgymnasium AB is a stable organization that has been in operation for 20 years. Today, our schools are located in four cities across the country. We work diligently to stay at the forefront of developing our schools and pedagogy, with collegial learning being a high priority.

SRG Varberg is a school where pedagogical development and collegial learning are top priorities. Our staff consists of approximately 20 employees, and around 90 students study across the school's three year groups within the Natural Resource Program – specializing in Horse Management – with profiles in Horse/Riding Sports. Here, we shape tomorrow's riders and horse enthusiasts, providing a strong educational foundation for both further studies and professional life.

We would like you to meet the following criteria:

We value that you hold a degree in social work (socionom) or equivalent education. Previous experience in the role of school counselor is highly meritorious.

You are attuned to the organization's needs and have strong collaboration skills with students, guardians, educators, and management.

We also look for someone driven to challenge themselves, colleagues, and students to contribute to continuous development. You are independent and responsible in your duties.

Additional qualifications, competencies, or interests are meritorious. Personal suitability and a willingness to work closely with students are highly valued. We are looking for someone who can work 40-60% as a counselor with us.

What you will work on with us:

We are looking for you who want to be an active part of our student health team. You will work actively with student well-being, focusing on promoting and preventive measures. In collaboration between the school's various professional roles, your salutogenic approach is important.

We want the counselor to be part of our school culture, which should be characterized by dialogue and participation – and to take a holistic perspective, highlighting students' resources and strengths. With this view of your role, you follow the students' development and contribute to optimizing their learning. In your role with us, you will contribute your competence at the organizational, group, and individual levels.

Start date and position level

The position will be filled upon agreement, but no later than August. The position is part-time (40-50%). We offer a probationary period of 6 months. The intention is for the position to become permanent after the probation period.
