Parkskolan is a two-parallel F–5 school with approximately 230 students, centrally located in Aneby. This autumn, we will expand our operations with grade 6, which means two additional classes and a student count of approximately 270. We are therefore looking for more engaged lower secondary school teachers, preferably with a focus on Swedish and Social Studies or Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for you who want to work as a class teacher or resource teacher in lower secondary school and develop the operations together with us.

In the role, you will:

  • Work as a class teacher or resource teacher in lower secondary school
  • Collaborate with 1–2 colleagues in the same grade
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching based on steering documents and students' needs
  • Adapt teaching based on students' prerequisites and experiences
  • Collaborate with other educators during the school day
  • Work with language and knowledge-developing approaches and use digital tools in teaching
  • Document and follow up on students' development

You communicate students' development with the principal, students, and guardians.

We are looking for you who are engaged, structured, and focused on each student's learning and development.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher for grades 4-6, with eligibility to teach in Swedish/Social Studies or Mathematics/Natural Sciences. Eligibility in art, and/or English is considered meritorious.

In addition, we want you to:

  • Have high expectations for students' development
  • Have a secure and clear leadership style and be responsible, organized, and results-oriented
  • Be relationship-building and have a low-affective approach
  • Be sensitive to each student's prerequisites and needs
  • Stimulate students' curiosity and desire to learn
  • Have good collaboration skills and flexibility

You have a good ability to build relationships, communicate with students, guardians, and colleagues, and work based on the school's steering documents. You contribute to collegial learning and share your experiences.

Personal suitability is highly valued as we value solution-oriented thinking and good collaboration skills.

No experience is required. However, experience is always meritorious, especially if it has made you a better teacher.
