As an employee at Novum Assistans, you are involved through regular workplace meetings where we develop our assignments. We create the conditions for the tasks required by the assistance and offer ongoing competence development based on the needs of the assignment. This gives you the opportunity for personal development, both as an individual and in your professional role as a personal assistant.

Working hours vary between day, night, and weekends. During daytime hours, two assistants always work together.

The client is a man in his 50s who uses a wheelchair. He leads an active life with many activities and has his own car, which gives him freedom in daily life. During the summer, the client enjoys his vacation together with his assistants, and various day trips are organized. The assistant group is well-functioning, with staff staying for long periods.

The assignment includes supporting the client with everything from daily chores, care, and personal hygiene to activities. Experience in similar care work and/or a nursing assistant education is advantageous.

We are looking for someone who is personally suitable for the assignment. For us, this means that you are responsible, empathetic, and responsive. It is important that you are punctual and can adhere to schedules, but also flexible enough to step in and cover gaps in staffing. We look for someone who is secure as a person and enjoys taking initiative, both independently and in interaction with others in the group.

As a person, you are social, goal-oriented, responsive, patient, and able to take your own initiatives. Good physical fitness, a cheerful and positive attitude are also desirable. The personal chemistry and interaction between you as an assistant and the client are crucial for the quality and experience of the work.

You will receive training and introduction to the medical tasks, as well as ongoing competence development based on the needs of the assignment.

• A driver's license is a significant asset.
• Swedish language skills (spoken and written) are mandatory.

Start date is by agreement. We offer positions as summer replacements as well as need-based employment during the spring.

The need-based employment is hourly and based on demand. Fixed-term employment during the summer, weeks 28–32.

We offer a fixed hourly wage by agreement. Other benefits are provided according to the collective agreement.

The selection process is ongoing. More information about the assignment will be provided during a potential interview. To be employed by Novum Assistans, you must have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service.

In this recruitment, we apply a personality test for all applicants. The test takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete, and you will receive an invitation via email after you have applied. The tests help us match the right person with the right job, increasing the chance that you, if hired, will thrive with us and have the right conditions to succeed in the assignment.
