IGS Assistans AB has recently won a tender for personal assistance in Region Gotland and is therefore now seeking personal assistants for several assignments on the island.

About the position

We are now seeking a personal assistant who wants meaningful work and the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life. The assignment concerns a man in his 70s living in Burgsvik. The man has his own carpentry workshop that he uses frequently. Perfect for you who like to create with your hands and are handy. The man uses a wheelchair, so transfers are part of the work. Assistive devices are available at the workplace.

Working hours are from 7:30 AM to 10:30 PM, both weekdays and weekends.

Your duties include supporting the man in his daily life and helping with, among other things:

• Personal hygiene
• Cooking
• Transfers
• Exercise routines
• Excursions and visits outside the home
• Helping in the man's workshop

You will be employed as a substitute and receive an hourly contract. This means you can control your own working hours and work as needed.

As a personal assistant, you provide individually adapted support to a person with a disability in their daily life. The work is performed in the customer's home and in other environments where the customer is present. The tasks vary depending on the customer's needs and may include personal care, support in daily routines, transfers, and accompaniment to activities and appointments.

There is also the possibility of working with several customers in different locations around Gotland.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Preferably have experience working as a personal assistant
• Are responsible, sensitive, and have a professional attitude
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Have an interest in or experience with carpentry/woodworking, as the customer has a workshop at home
• Have a driver's license and access to a car
• Are able to work flexible hours

Great importance is placed on personal suitability as well as respect for the customer's self-determination and personal integrity.

Terms of Employment

• Employment terms according to the collective agreement with Kommunal
• Individual salary setting, hourly wage as agreed

• Valid identification must be presented before the contract is signed
• Extract from the Police Criminal Record (for work with children with disabilities) must be presented before employment
