About the workplace

Do you want to work in one of our LSS (Support and Service to Persons with Certain Disabilities) residences? If you have relevant experience and/or education within the LSS field, you are welcome to apply.

Håbo Municipality's group residences provide individually adapted support for adults according to the Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Disabilities. Residents in group and service housing have their own apartments as well as access to communal areas.

Our goal is that those who live in Håbo Municipality should be able to live as independent, autonomous, and active a life as possible. For the individual's security, there is staff support around the clock.

We are looking for you who

We are looking for someone who is 18 years or older and wants to support people with various physical and mental disabilities in their housing. We wish that you, as an applicant, are genuinely interested in working with people and supporting them to achieve their goals. You always have the user in focus.

You need to be responsible, sensitive, and have a good attitude towards others. It is also important to be flexible and adapt to the user's needs while being careful and secure in following the user's routines.

You need to be able to work both independently and together with colleagues.

Your tasks

The work as a summer substitute in LSS residences means ensuring that users receive the support measures and help they are entitled to through approved decisions. Our users need support to varying degrees so that everyday life functions in a safe and good way. The tasks include carrying out support and care measures based on implementation plans. You may also perform health and medical care tasks after delegation and be responsible for documentation in daily work. The work also includes standard care work. It is important to provide individually adapted care for the user, create structure, and at the same time encourage and support them in developing their personal interests. The work is based on the Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS). The position can be physically demanding and involves several practical work tasks. Working hours vary and can include day, evening, weekend, night, and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

It is meritorious if you have previously worked in elderly care, personal assistance, and LSS housing. Educated assistant nurses are meritorious. But above all, we are looking for you with a heart in the right place who is open and willing to learn the work.

Delegated tasks from nurses and rehabilitation staff will be part of your work, requiring good computer skills as we document in the business system.

Since the work is based on communication, documentation, and building trust in personal relationships, it is important that you master the Swedish language well in both speech and writing.

Great importance is attached to personal qualities.

The work is performed during the day, evening, and weekends. Sleeping on-call shifts occur in the work.
