Then you are welcome to join us at one of Sweden's most individually tailored special housing facilities under the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments)! Here you will meet and support people with unique and complex support needs in a beautiful environment just outside Kumla. We are a team of approximately 30 staff members and a unit manager who is present on-site in the middle of the operations. We are currently looking for approximately 10 summer replacements. Since it requires a long introduction period to build secure relationships, it is an advantage if you can start working with us as early as possible before the summer.

I am Örjan Andersson, the unit manager, and I am driven by developing the operations and introducing knowledge-based methods combined with proven experience and a person-centered approach. I also place great value on utilizing the employees' engagement, which I see as absolutely crucial for the quality of an LSS housing facility. The activity plan for the unit is built based on the employees' own improvement proposals.

Job Responsibilities

As a support assistant at Stenebrunn, your most important task is to provide our tenants with the support they need to live as good and independent a life as possible. We work with interventions based on housing with special service for adults and day activities according to LSS. This means we work during daytime, evenings, nights, and weekends.

At Stenebrunn, we focus on the tenant's participation and independence in their life by creating clear and individually tailored routines and structures. To enable you to work according to our routines, we will give you a thorough introduction from the facility's support pedagogues, support assistants, and unit manager.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are genuinely interested in other people and have a positive and warm approach. It is important to have a high level of commitment and a well-developed ability to collaborate, both in the user-proximity work and in the execution of other activities at Stenebrunn. To thrive and succeed, you also need to have a drive to curiously and interestedly familiarize yourself with the tasks with the goal of learning to work independently.

The tenants living at Stenebrunn have various disabilities and may find it difficult to handle situations where high demands are placed or where communication becomes unclear. To achieve a safe and secure everyday life for all of us, a low-affective and demand-adapted approach is crucial for successful work with us at Stenebrunn.

You need to have education in healthcare and social care, child and youth care, behavioral science, or similar. Experience in handling meetings with people who are in an affective state is a great advantage.

Good data and documentation skills, good knowledge of Swedish, and a B-driver's license for manual cars are necessary. You also need to be able to cycle and swim. Our facility is located outside Kumla, and therefore it is a must to have access to a vehicle to get to work.
