About the role

We are currently looking for personal assistants for a man in his 30s living in Rydebäck. For him, the company of family and friends is an obvious part of everyday life and something that brings him joy and energy. The client has ALS and uses an electric wheelchair. You can read more about the diagnosis here, as it is important to understand what it entails. Having knowledge about ALS can help you understand both the medical and practical aspects of the disease, so we encourage you to read up more on the diagnosis.

We can offer you a position of approximately 50% as well as hourly substitute work. Your duties include, among other things, daily care, transfers, meals, and dressing/undressing.

The working hours may vary as follows:

• 07:30 - 14:30
• 14:30 - 21:30
• 21:30 - 07:30 (Awake night)

About you

As a personal assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our client. You will be an important part of the client's life and contribute to his independence and well-being. Since the provision of assistance is based on communication between you and the client, it is necessary that you have fluent knowledge of the Swedish language.

We believe that you who are applying for this position are a person who is proactive and solution-focused. You are an empathetic person who easily puts yourself in other people's life situations, while also being calm, self-assured, and socially aware. It is important that there is personal chemistry between you as the applicant and the client. This may become decisive in the final selection.

Requirements:

• You have care experience,
• You are a non-smoker,
• You have fluent knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Merits:

• You have a driver's license and access to a car,
• You have experience with ALS,
• You have care education or equivalent.

Scope: approx. 50% plus hourly substitute work. Number of positions: 2. Start date: Immediately. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the position will be filled as soon as possible. Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with the collective agreement.

Due to the fact that the role may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old to work as a personal assistant with us.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18 years of age, you are required to present a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority regarding your criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record register and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Swedish Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so the order should be made in good time.
