Description
As an employee in Gislaved Municipality, you are a co-creator at your workplace. You are given the opportunity and expected to contribute to the development of the operations through your knowledge and experience. Respect for differences and the equal value of all people are fundamental to us.
Töråsskolan is located in Anderstorp and is a school for grades F-6 (preschool class to grade 6) with approximately 145 students. We have approximately 65 children enrolled in our after-school center (fritidshem).
We have a lovely schoolyard with many green areas that invite play and spontaneous activities during breaks and leisure time. A full-size sports hall and two craft rooms are available for the after-school program in the afternoons.
We work systematically according to the curriculum. We regularly follow up on our work and evaluate it to maintain or change practices for improvement. We have planning days and a shared approach regarding our students.
Tuesdays are the school's conference day. The after-school staff meet for conferences in the morning together with the school leadership. We also use this time for collegial dialogue and professional development.
V-klass is the municipality's communication platform.
The days are divided into morning after-school, school hours, and afternoon after-school. In this position, you will be linked to a work team during the school part and a specific unit during the afternoon/evening.
Responsibilities
The position involves being part of a work team during school hours, being in the classroom, and being part of the work team at the after-school center in the afternoons.
- Pedagogical planning, documentation, evaluation, and follow-up are included in the work.
- Keeping up to date with the curriculum and other governing documents.
- Regularly being an active participant in work team meetings.
- Creating and maintaining trusting relationships with guardians, colleagues, and students.
We also want to develop the students' musical abilities. If you have experience or education in music, we see it as a great advantage if this position can be combined with music teaching.
Qualifications
To best succeed in the position, you have an after-school pedagogical degree (fritidspedagog) and some years of experience in the profession. If you lack the formal education, you should still be well-versed in the pedagogy regarding children in after-school environments and their development, as well as having some years of experience working with children aged 6–10.
We place great emphasis on your interest in working with children and building relationships with the children, guardians, and colleagues to create a trusting school day for the students.
For a permanent position, you must be a licensed teacher in after-school centers/hold a teaching license.
Interviews and recruitment take place continuously during the application period – so please send your application today!
Your collaboration is deeply linked to your ability to cooperate and participate in the development of yourself and the operations. With us, this means you have good cooperation with the manager and colleagues, both at your own workplace and in the rest of the municipal group. You treat everyone with a high level of service, kindness, and high quality through a customer- and service focus. You take responsibility for involving yourself in operational matters and are solution-oriented.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability and that your view of collaboration aligns with ours.
We apply register checks (extracts from the criminal record register) as a form of suitability assessment for all offered employment in operations where there is direct and regular contact with children and young people.
Employment occurs subject to necessary decisions being made!
Do you want to be part of our success? Welcome with your application!
In Gislaved Municipality, full-time work is a right, and therefore vacant positions are advertised as full-time. When the operations can accommodate part-time work, this is of course an option. Positions shorter than 3 months and certain roles may be exempted. In connection with the recruitment process, Gislaved Municipality has taken a stand on recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore expressly decline contact with media sellers, recruitment sites, and similar.
