About the role and the team

As an Accountant at Gasum, you will become part of Finance & Accounting Sweden, led by the Head of Finance & Accounting, Sweden. The finance team consists of four people – two Senior Accountants and two Accountants – and the role we are now recruiting for is one of the two Accountant roles. The team is located in Linköping and works closely together in their daily work.

The role is broad and operational, meaning you will work with both accounts payable and more qualified closing work, in close collaboration with your team. You report to the Head of Finance & Accounting Sweden and have clear responsibility within your area, while more complex issues are handled jointly in the team.

Gasum operates in a complex and international business, with several legal entities, regulations, and business flows. This means that accounting issues often require both structure, understanding of the whole picture, and a pragmatic approach.

Responsibilities

In the role of Accountant, you will among other things work with:

• Accounting according to K3, BFN, and ÅRL

• Monthly, quarterly, and annual closing in collaboration with Senior Accountants

• Accruals, reconciliations, and follow-up of balance and income statement accounts

• Ensuring correct bookkeeping and good quality in the general ledger

• Operational work with accounts payable in Basware

• Reporting of VAT, taxes, and relevant statistics

• Work in the entire accounting process – from transaction to closing

• Collaboration with the business in accounting and finance-related issues

• Contribute to improvement and efficiency of processes and ways of working

About you

We are looking for you who have 2–3 years of experience in accounting, preferably from larger companies or group environments. You have worked with ongoing accounting, accruals, and closing and have a good foundation in K3 and ÅRL. You also have experience with accounts payable as a natural part of the role.

To succeed in the role, we see that you:

• have a good understanding of the accounting process from start to finish

• have basic to good knowledge of VAT and tax

• are accustomed to working in business systems and can quickly get up to speed with new systems

• have good skills in Excel and MS Office

• communicate fluently in Swedish and English

As a person, you are structured, detail-oriented, and responsible. You have a solution-oriented and pragmatic approach, are flexible, and thrive in a changing work environment. You feel comfortable working independently and seeking support from the team when needed, and are not too rigid in a specific way of working.

Practical Information

The role is primarily located in Linköping where the team sits. For the right person, there is a possibility to base yourself in Stockholm with regular presence in Linköping. Gasum offers hybrid work (at least 3 days in the office). Travel occurs to a limited extent, primarily within the Nordics.
