To our client within a large trading and distribution company, we are now looking for a Business Controller for a one-year consultancy assignment starting immediately. The assignment is initially fixed-term but has good opportunities for extension.

About the assignment

You will become part of a larger controlling team that works closely with different business areas and reports to the CFO.

Responsibilities

The role is broad and includes classic tasks within Business Controlling:

• Year-end closing work
• Ongoing monitoring and analysis
• Forecasting and planning
• Reporting to the business
• Data collection and processing in Excel
• Creation and development of reports

The position is split between having own responsibility for one business area (approx. 50%) and supporting and relieving other controllers in the team (approx. 50%).

Your background, experience, and skills

We are looking for someone who is at the beginning of their career and wants to develop within Business Controlling. We believe you have:

• 1–2 years of experience as a controller, or a background in accounting or auditing
• An academic degree in economics
• Good understanding of accounting
• Very good skills in Excel
• Experience working with large datasets and analyses
