Unika Kårlandagården is located in the small Småland town of Hovmantorp in Lessebo Municipality. The facility consists of 6 apartments in a row house block, each with two or three rooms and a kitchen.
We use methods and approaches such as low-affective interaction and clarifying pedagogy, and our operations are directed towards adults belonging to person group 3.
At Unika, we work with certified support personnel within our LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) operations, which is an approach aimed at realizing our vision of strengthening the individual.
About the Role of Coordinator/Support AssistantIn the role of coordinator, you primarily work with providing support and services based on the residents' wishes, as well as giving the individual a meaningful daily life from a pedagogical perspective. You also handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, staffing, quality improvements, risk assessments, and documentation.
You collaborate closely with the operations manager and maintain close contact with the staff group. Your role is central in supporting the daily operations of the facility. You provide support and services both in the home and in leisure activities, as well as developing pedagogical support based on the individual's needs.
The coordinator role allows for independent planning, where you are responsible for allocating both administrative time and work with users in a professional and purposeful manner.
In the role of support assistant, you are a reassuring person who supports users in creating structure, clarity, and participation in their daily lives. The role involves providing support based on the user's individual needs, both regarding practical tasks and in strengthening self-esteem, security, and self-determination.
Tasks may include among other things:
- Supporting users in activities and social participation
- Creating opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time
- Supporting and guiding with personal care
- Medication management
- Helping with household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and cooking
- Planning and carrying out shopping, e.g., groceries
The position is full-time (100%) and working hours are scheduled during daytime/evenings and weekends.
Who are we looking for?You have experience from LSS but perhaps also knowledge of pedagogical approaches and how to interact with individuals with various functional impairments. You are sensitive and communicative, and you understand that these are important tools for good and clear interaction with both residents and relatives. As a colleague, you actively contribute to a positive and forward-looking work climate. You naturally see opportunities instead of obstacles and have a very good ability to adapt to new situations. You can work both independently and in a team with your colleagues.
QualificationsRequirements:
- Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
- Previous experience in leadership/coordinating roles and a natural aptitude for leading and driving development issues.
- Experience and knowledge of the target group LSS adults in person group 3.
- Post-secondary education, e.g., support pedagogy, behavioral science, social pedagogy, university education in pedagogy or social work.
Meritorious if you additionally have:
- Experience and competence in clarifying pedagogy, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and low-affective interaction.
- Experience working with individuals with complex psychosocial behavioral problems.

Start Date: According to agreement, we view it positively if you can start soon.
Collective Agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Sector E.
