We are currently seeking Business Controllers and Financial Controllers for upcoming assignments with our client in the defense industry in Linköping.

At our client's organization, you will work in a large-scale environment where the controller role is central to the economic management and development of the business. This role is ideal for you if you want to work closely with operations, analyze financial outcomes, and contribute decision-support materials that help managers, project leaders, and other internal stakeholders make well-informed decisions.

Depending on the focus of the assignment, tasks and responsibilities may vary. What the roles have in common is that you, as a controller, will play a key role in creating structure in follow-ups, ensuring financial control, and contributing to the long-term development of the business.

Example tasks – Business Controller

  • Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial follow-up.
  • Prepare analyses, reports, and decision-support materials for management and operations.
  • Monitor KPIs, results, costs, and other financial key performance indicators.
  • Act as an advisory support to managers, project leaders, and business units.
  • Identify deviations, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in business planning, calculations, and investment analyses.
  • Lead or participate in improvement and development projects within controlling and financial management.
  • Contribute to business development through analysis, follow-up, and operational support.

Example tasks – Financial Controller

  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure quality in accounting, reporting, and financial documentation.
  • Prepare reports, analyses, and decision-support materials.
  • Work with financial control, reconciliations, and follow-up.
  • Participate in the development and efficiency improvement of financial processes.
  • Ensure reporting complies with current regulations and internal guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Controllers and other functions within the organization.
  • Contribute to good internal control and correct financial flows.

Other information: The position requires you to undergo and pass security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where our client requires security classification, citizenship requirements may apply in certain cases.

To succeed in this role, you need

  • You have an academic degree in economics, finance, accounting, or equivalent.
  • You have several years of experience in controlling, business analysis, accounting, or a similar field.
  • You have experience with budgeting, forecasting, follow-up, and analysis in larger or more complex organizations.
  • You have a good understanding of financial reporting, financial control, and business management.
  • You have good knowledge of Excel and experience working in business systems.
  • Experience with Agresso, IFS, Hyperion, or similar systems is considered an asset.
  • You have very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
