We are currently looking for a Business Controller for a position with a leading player in the banking and finance sector.

As a Business Controller, you will play a central role in supporting the business with financial analysis, monitoring, and reporting. You will work closely with the commercial operations and contribute to strategic decisions by transforming complex data into clear and value-creating insights. The role also involves leading and developing a team of controllers.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading and coordinating the work of the controlling function
• Responsible for financial monitoring, analysis, and reporting
• Further developing models, processes, and frameworks within economic management
• Ensuring quality in data and reporting
• Contributing to the development of BI and reporting solutions
• Serving as a close business partner to management and operations

To succeed in this role, you need

• An academic degree in economics, engineering, or natural sciences
• Several years of experience working as a controller, preferably within banking or finance
• Experience leading teams or coordinating work in larger organizations
• Comfortable working with financial accounting, models, and frameworks
• Fluent communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written
• Very good knowledge of Excel and other MS Office tools
• Experience with accounting systems (Cognos is a plus)
• Experience with reporting, data handling, and preferably Power BI
