Who is Familjen?

Familjen is a secure and committed employer with over fifteen years of experience in personal assistance for children, young people, and adults with disabilities. We work in a person-centered way, which means that every individual – whether you are an assistant, a relative, or the person receiving assistance – should feel seen, respected, and validated in our operations.

We are active and have assistance groups all over Sweden, from north to south, but our office is located in Täby, just outside Stockholm.

The founder and owner of the company has worked as a personal assistant themselves. This gives us extra understanding of the profession and daily life in assistance – and is an important strength in our work to create secure work groups and deliver high-quality person-centered assistance.

About the workplace

I am a man who uses a wheelchair and needs support in daily life. As my assistant, you will help me with daily chores – but the job is also about companionship, security, and creating a functional and pleasant daily life together. You will also support me in connection with regular rehabilitation training and gym visits.

I enjoy:

• baking and making good coffee breaks
• painting and being creative
• spending time with my grandchildren
• being outdoors when the weather and condition allow
• having a coffee at home in peace – or at a café in town

I like to follow the news and appreciate conversations about what is happening in the world. I also like trying new things – so if you have ideas and energy, you are welcome to bring me along on both daily adventures and a bit of mischief!

There are also younger children in the home, and we have a home where it is easy to feel welcome.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are cheerful, social, and enjoy working closely with people. Humor is important here – we appreciate you who have a twinkle in your eye and can contribute to a light and secure atmosphere.

You will naturally receive a thorough introduction and learn the routines at the beginning, but we hope that you then are:

It does not matter if you are a man or a woman; the most important thing is the personal chemistry. A preference from us is that you have previous experience in care and social services.

About the employment

We can offer available shifts immediately on a part-time basis. During the summer, full-time work is offered, and for the right person, there will be an available part-time shift schedule (38.75%) after the summer, which includes:

• Every other weekend (Fri–Sun)

09:00–14:00 + 16:00–20:00

• Every other week on a Thursday

09:00–14:00 + 16:30–20:00

There is an opportunity for more hours during vacation and other absences.

Requirements

• You need to speak and understand Swedish fluently, as the work requires clear communication.
• Since there are children in the home, you need to submit a current extract from the criminal record (max 2 months old). The extract is ordered digitally via the Police website and then sent to us.
