In the role of Vehicle Manager / Business Asset Manager, you have overall responsibility for leading, coordinating, and developing the business and asset management of rail vehicles within public transport. You work at the interface between technology, business, and operations, ensuring that the vehicles meet requirements related to function, operational safety, quality, and economy.

You lead a cross-functional team of specialists and collaborate closely with both internal functions and external parties. The role places high demands on strategic ability, leadership, and a good understanding of complex traffic systems and lifecycle perspectives.

• Lead and coordinate business and asset management of rail vehicles
• Responsible for monitoring function, operational safety, quality, and economy
• Act as counterpart to suppliers and collaboration partners in vehicle-related matters
• Lead and develop a cross-functional team
• Ensure that the management work is carried out with a holistic perspective on the traffic system
• Participate in and contribute to the development of agreements, management plans, and investment decisions
• Prepare decision support materials for management level
• Drive improvement work and development of working methods and processes
• Collaborate with various stakeholders within technology, IT, and operations

Compulsory requirements:

• MSc in Economics, Industrial Economics, or Business Development
• At least 8 years of experience in business development, operational development, or business asset management
• At least 2 years of experience working within or in collaboration with the public sector
• At least 5 years of experience in preparing decision support materials for management level
• At least 3 years of experience from the railway sector or rail transport, for example within:
• Vehicle maintenance
• Maintenance planning
• Deployment or vehicle management
• At least 8 years of experience in project management, of which at least 5 years in a leading role
• At least 3 years of experience leading teams or projects in complex operations with multiple stakeholders

• Experience in management planning and analysis of maintenance needs or reinvestments
• Experience from public transport projects where you have planned, structured, and followed up on project work
• Experience working according to ISO 55000 (Asset Management)
