Job Description

We are now looking for a special needs teacher (specialpedagog) at 40% to our care provider school in Södertälje. The school is a grades F-9 school where the student's health, development, and learning are at the center. As a special needs teacher with us, you will become a natural part of the student health team and work closely together with the principal, school nurse, school psychologist, and educators. The assignment is primarily health-promoting and preventive, focusing on strengthening the school's organization and teaching while paying attention to each student's needs. You will:

• Actively participate in the school's student health work
• Work preventively and health-promoting at the individual, group, and organizational levels
• Supervise educators and contribute special needs pedagogical competence
• Be a support in pedagogical investigations and measures
• Collaborate with other professions within student health

Your Background

You support educators in creating pedagogical mappings and action plans, and you act as a sounding board for both the teaching group and the school management. Your interest in each individual means that you consciously adapt content and methods for every situation and student. You are experienced with various pedagogical tools and programs and use the computer as a natural part of your work. You are structured. We also see that you are flexible and are just as comfortable seeing yourself together with the students in their learning environment as with the unit's educators. You are educated as a special needs teacher, with a background as a primary school teacher. You have experience working with students with reading and writing difficulties, math difficulties, and neuropsychiatric functional variations. You are familiar with various mapping and compensatory aids, as well as other methods that support our students and lead to better goal achievement.
