Skållegården is aimed at children and young people between the ages of 12 and 16. The target group consists of girls and boys who may, among other things, find themselves in unsuitable environments and exhibit norm-breaking behavior. This often occurs in combination with an NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorder) diagnosis, which can manifest through low impulse control, challenging behaviors, isolation, deficits in social skills, relationship issues, or high school absenteeism.

Skållegården is located in a quiet rural area with a large garden for outdoor play. The operation is structured so that each child and young person has their own individually adapted schedule. We strive to be an organization that provides that little extra, is present with great care, and creates predictability and security in the daily lives of the children and young people.

The goal of the treatment at Skållegården is to create conditions for positive development in mental and physical well-being. The overall goal of the activity is to create a holistic balanced situation for the child or young person, where aspects such as school, leisure time, and social relationships are included.

Methods and approach in the operation:

The operation is based on CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and clarifying pedagogy.

Other methods and approaches used include: MI (Motivational Interviewing and motivational conversations for change), crisis and trauma handling, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and LAB (Low-Affective Approach).
