We are currently looking for an experienced interim accountant for a consulting assignment starting in early May. The assignment initially runs for three months. The office is located in central Stockholm, with travel to other locations a few days at the beginning of each month.

About the assignment

In this role, you will have a central part in strengthening the accounting function – both operationally and by contributing to improvements and efficiency gains.

You will work closely with the accounting team as well as in collaboration with business control and other parts of the organization. The role entails overall responsibility for accounting with a focus on quality, monitoring, and analysis of costs and variances.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing accounting, reconciliations, and accruals
• Monthly closing and reporting
• VAT reconciliation and declaration
• Preparation of materials for annual accounts and audit
• Support in internal projects, such as system changes and accounting-related investigations
• Actively contribute to the development, improvement, and documentation of routines and processes within the finance function

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is self-reliant, structured, and meticulous, with a good ability to create order in a changing environment. You are communicative and thrive in a role with many contact surfaces.

We see that you have:

• Relevant education in economics or equivalent practical background
• Several years of experience in qualified accounting work in similar roles
• A holistic view of the accounting process, from ongoing bookkeeping to closing
• Experience working with and implementing financial systems, with a strong interest in system support (knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is a plus)
• Advanced user of Excel and comfortable handling large data sets
• Good understanding of regulations according to K3 (knowledge of IFRS is an advantage)
• Practical experience with accounting related to fixed assets
• Accustomed to working in operations with extensive transaction flows
• Background from manufacturing operations or industrial companies is an advantage
• Ability to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing (English is used in daily work)
