About the position

We are currently looking for a personal assistant in Visby for a positive and curious young man who loves fun and outings. He uses a wheelchair and is non-verbal, but communicates with his surroundings in other ways, for example through facial expressions and communication aids. The position is a temporary hourly employment on an as-needed basis and when regular staff is absent. The work is based at his own apartment, and you always accompany him wherever he goes during the day. On weekdays, he attends day activities, and on weekends, he enjoys going on outings, but he also likes to stay at home reading a book, watching a movie, or listening to music.

Every day he needs to exercise his body, and you help him with this through a gymnastics program and various rehabilitation aids. He needs help with all daily tasks such as hygiene, dressing and undressing, cleaning, laundry, tube feeding, and medication.

The working hours are scheduled as follows:

• The working hours are scheduled around the clock, with a wakeful night.
• Double assistance occurs.

About you

We are looking for you who is positive, empathetic, and has great patience. You should be attentive, orderly, calm, and reliable. You are independent, flexible, have good teamwork skills, imagination, and enjoy challenges.

As a personal assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our client. You will be an important part of their life and contribute to their independence and well-being.

The most important thing is that there is personal chemistry between you as the applicant and the client. This may become decisive in the final selection.

Requirements for you

• You are a non-smoker.
• You are proactive and responsible.

It is an advantage if you

• Have previously worked as a personal assistant.

Scope: Extra/on an as-needed basis. Number of positions: 1. Start date: Immediately. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the position will be filled as soon as possible. Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with the collective agreement.

Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old to work as a personal assistant with us.

If you are to work with this client, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record register. From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record register and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Swedish Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so the order should be placed in good time.
