About the roleAs a housing support worker, you work with supporting, motivating, and strengthening the individual's own abilities in daily life. You contribute to creating structure, routines, and security based on each person's needs and prerequisites.
The goal is to give every customer the opportunity for an active, independent, and meaningful life.
The role also includes:
Documentation and reporting
Work based on implementation plans
Case management (for longer assignments)
Support in daily chores such as cleaning, shopping, and cooking
Documentation and reporting
Planning and implementation of activities and excursions
Personal care (e.g., hygiene and support during meals)
Motivate and support increased independence
Working hours vary between day, evening, and sleeping on-call duty – both weekdays and weekends.
About the operation – TärnanTärnan Group Housing is located in the beautiful nature of Tärnsjö, approximately six miles northwest of Uppsala, with proximity to nice walking areas and a calm environment.
The housing is aimed at adults within the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) target group 1, with examples such as intellectual disability, autism, or autism-like conditions.
Here, customers live in their own apartments with access to common areas that create opportunities for social interaction and community.
We work individually tailored with a focus on participation, security, and strengthening each person's independence and quality of life.

You are:

Proactive and solution-focused
Confident in working both independently and in a team
Flexible and able to adapt to the operation's needs
Previous experience is meritorious – but we place great importance on personal suitability.
QualificationsSecondary education (preferably within healthcare and social care or similar)
Good knowledge of Swedish, in speech and writing
Meritorious:
Experience of working within LSS or social care
Knowledge within TAKK, TEACCH, or low-affective approach
Category B driver's license
Employment type: Hourly employment as needed and summer substitute position Scope: According to agreement Start date: According to agreement
We apply individual salary setting and have collective agreements. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
In the event of employment, you must be able to provide a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (criminal record) and prove your right to work in Sweden.
