Human Bridge is an aid organization working for people and the environment. We collect, repair, and distribute medical supplies and assistive devices to countries with limited resources. At the same time, we collect clothes, shoes, and textiles that go directly to aid initiatives or are sold to finance various aid projects.

We are now looking for an Executive Director who wants to lead and develop the organization in a time of both challenges and opportunities.

As Executive Director, you will have overall responsibility for the organization's operations, finances, and development. You will lead the organization through regional managers as well as functions within finance, administration, and the executive office.

The assignment involves:

• leading the organization through change and development
• strengthening and developing the business operations within textile collection
• further developing the aid work and its impact
• representing the organization towards partner organizations, donors, authorities, and media

This is an active and operationally close leadership role where you are expected to be a driving force in both strategic and operational issues.

We are looking for a secure and engaged leader with experience in developing organizations and operations.

You likely have:

• experience in leadership during change and development
• experience in combining business acumen with social benefit
• strong communication skills and trust-building leadership
• good financial understanding

Experience from aid activities, logistics, recycling, or the non-profit sector is an asset. Experience from industrial production or sorting operations, second-hand retail, the healthcare sector, or social labor market initiatives (e.g., work with subsidized employment or labor integration) is also valuable.

The position is based in Holsbybrunn and involves travel within Sweden. A driver's license is required.

Human Bridge is currently Sweden's largest collector of textiles. Through collection, sorting, and reuse, we create resources for international aid, including deliveries of medical equipment to hospitals in places like Africa and Ukraine.

The organization has over 100 employees and operations in several parts of Sweden, with headquarters in Holsbybrunn. Our operations combine business-driven textile handling with aid work and a strong environmental perspective.
