Do you want to help shape the future real estate portfolio of one of Northern Europe's largest logistics operations? Do you thrive in a role where you can combine analysis, business acumen, and strategic work, becoming a key player in decisions that impact PostNord's entire business? Then this could be your next step!
About the role
As a Business Controller within Real Estate, you will become a strategic partner to management, driving the development of our real estate portfolio through insightful analysis, investment assessments, and structured decision support. You will function as a "mini-CFO for the portfolio," creating transparency, understanding, and control that enable better, faster, and more sustainable decisions.
In this role, you will hold a central position in an area with significant impact on PostNord's cost structure, efficiency, and long-term development. You will work closely with both Swedish and international stakeholders, contributing to alignment, standardization, and financial control across borders.
Your main responsibilities
In this role, you will, among other things:
- Lead business planning, forecasting, and dialogues regarding long-term planning.
- Analyze total real estate costs, including lease structures, indexing, FM, and CAPEX.
- Build, develop, and challenge business cases for e.g., renegotiations, expansions, disposals, and M&A-related decisions.
- Develop models and tools for portfolio monitoring, cost efficiency, and performance management.
- Conduct scenario modeling and contribute to forward-looking portfolio control.
- Identify risks, deviations, and improvement opportunities – and translate analysis into concrete recommendations.
- Drive financial alignment and collaboration between countries, functions, and key stakeholders.
To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you have:
Skills and competencies
- Strong analytical skills and a structured, data-driven working style.
- Good business acumen and a forward-looking mindset.
- Confidence in challenging, influencing, and supporting management in strategic decisions.
- The ability to switch between detail level and strategic holistic perspective.
- The drive to create order, structure, and clarity even in complex environments.
- An independent and proactive attitude with a strong desire to further develop the area.
Experience and requirements
- Several years of experience working as a Business Controller or in a similar analytical role with a focus on investments, portfolio management, or real estate-related finance.
- Experience with the SAP Real Estate module is an asset.
- Experience in driving analysis and decision support in larger, preferably international, organizations.
You should feel good
We are a modern customer-oriented company that cares as much about our employees as our customers. Here, you are offered varied work in an international environment with constant new challenges and quick decisions. In addition to fair employment terms according to collective agreements, you are offered:
- Flexible hybrid workplace. Watch the film about our office.
- Good development and career opportunities.
- Good insurance and occupational pension terms.
- Wellness allowance and the opportunity to train at Arken's gym and swimming pool.
- Employee benefits through PostNord Plus - our employee foundation.
