Are you looking for a central and varied role within the finance department of one of Sweden's leading wind power companies? As a Business Controller at Vasa Vind, you will combine operational analysis and performance monitoring with support in forecasting and budgeting. You will support the department with your accounting expertise in IFRS and assist with other finance-related tasks such as taxes and payments. You will become a key member of the team and have the opportunity to contribute to both the company's development and Sweden's transition to sustainable energy.

About the Position

This is a consulting assignment lasting until May 2027. Initially, you will be employed by Bravura, with excellent possibilities for permanent recruitment. This provides both you and Vasa Vind with a great opportunity to get to know each other and evaluate how well the collaboration works.

About the Company

Vasa Vind has been active on the market since 2008 and is today one of Sweden's leading companies in wind power. The business covers the entire value chain – from development and construction to long-term operation and management of wind farms. The focus is on executing projects in an efficient and responsible manner, taking into account both the environment and local conditions.

The company's wind farms produce approximately 1.5 TWh of renewable energy annually, which corresponds to household electricity for around 280,000 Swedish households. This makes Vasa Vind an important player in Sweden's energy supply and transition towards a more sustainable energy system.

Today, over 20 employees work at the company, with the majority based at the office in Solna. The organization consists of several specialist roles within areas such as finance, energy, and technology, all sharing a strong commitment to sustainable development and social benefit. The culture is characterized by collaboration, helpfulness, and short decision-making paths. The finance function consists of the CFO, an accounting manager, and a Financial Controller, who work closely together to manage and develop the company's extensive financial flows.

Responsibilities

In the role of Business Controller, you will have a central and broad function within the finance department, working with analysis, forecasting, and follow-up. Furthermore, you will support the finance function in parts of the closing process and ensure high quality in reporting and IFRS-related matters. You will also be involved in other finance-related issues such as taxes, tax returns, and landowner payments. As Vasa Vind is a relatively small organization, employees are expected to help out where needed.

Examples of responsibilities:

• Operational analysis
• Work with forecasts and performance monitoring
• Participate in budgeting
• Support in IFRS matters
• Involved in work with taxes, tax returns, and landowner payments
• Ad hoc work in connection with change management such as system implementations, investment decisions, etc.

Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities

• Academic education in economics/finance
• At least 5 years of experience in business controlling or group accounting
• Experience with IFRS and group consolidation
• Good understanding of the electricity market
• Good understanding of hedging instruments
• Very good skills in Excel
• Good skills in English, both spoken and written (reporting is done in English)
• Good system experience and interest in financial systems

We consider it an asset if you also have:

• Experience from the energy sector or a related industry
• Experience with the consolidation system Tiego
